  • 1st November 2018 – entries open, submit online
  • 31st January 2019 – Deadline to enter
  • 2nd March 2019 – Shortlist announced
  • 3rd March – 3rd April 2019 – Voting for ‘People’s Choice’ Award
  • Friday 26th April 2019 – Winners announced and awards presented at ceremony in London (Details released shortly)

Terms and Conditions of Entry

  1. All entries must be submitted online. By entering you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

 

  1. No liability for entries lost or delayed will be accepted.

 

  1. The Be The Change Awards are free to enter and open to anyone over the age of 16 provided they represent an ethical or sustainable business, social enterprise, charity or not-for-profit. Individuals may apply for the ‘Changemaker of the Year’.

 

  1. All nominations must be received by 5pm on 31st January 2019. Entries received after this time will not be considered.

 

  1. The business can be a sole trader, a private or public limited company, a partnership or limited liability partnership, a business unit within a company, a charity or a not-for-profit organisation.

 

  1. Responsibility within the scope of these conditions cannot be accepted for any failure of confidentiality.

 

  1. Entrants will be expected to protect those aspects of their business that may be patentable, registerable or otherwise secret and governed by intellectual property, copyright or similar legislation.

 

  1. Entrants must submit a video to accompany their entry. Please be aware that all entry details you submit, including your video, will be shown to the judges. Videos will also be made publicly available if you are shortlisted, so that members of the public can vote for the ‘People’s Choice’ Award.

 

  1. The Be The Change organisers reserve the right to publicise the results of the competition and use winning entries and photographs in press releases and publicised case studies.

 

  1. It is a condition of entry that nominees will co-operate with the media. Be The Change winners may refer to the competition in their own publicity material following approval by the Be The Change organisers of such material.

 

  1. It is a condition that all shortlisted entrants will be expected to provide 100 words about themselves and a profile photo (head and shoulders shot) which will be used on the website, for the public vote and for other marketing purposes, including social media.

 

  1. You must complete the online form and submit your video via WeTransfer to be eligible – any entry received without the form or video will be considered incomplete and will not be counted.

 

  1. It is a condition that nominees must declare whether they, or the business they represent, are involved in (or could be involved in) any dispute or judgment that could in any way significantly interfere with the proper conduct of the Be The Change. Any undeclared conflict of interest could result in disqualification.

 

  1. All nominees must declare any knowledge, personal or otherwise, that they have of any of the judges. Any undeclared conflict of interest could result in disqualification.

 

  1. Judges and sponsors are not eligible to enter the awards.

 

  1. There can be no appeal against the decisions of the judges. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, all judges’ decisions are deemed as accepted and final in respect of all matters concerning The Be The Change Awards, including the interpretation of the conditions of entry. No correspondence will be entered into.

 

  1. The judges reserve the right to broaden the entry categories if there are insufficient entries in any particular category. They also reserve the right to move applicants from one category to another if they believe it to be appropriate.

 

  1. The Be The Change Awards organisers reserve the right to change the judging deadlines and awards timeline should circumstances necessitate.

 

  1. The Be The Change Awards organisers reserve the right to make any reasonable changes to these Terms and Conditions.
