Be The Change Awards

Be The Change, Tell The Story

Recognising your world-changing impact…

The Be The Change Awards are an up and coming new initiative for the social impact sector, recognising ethical & sustainable brands with a powerful impact story to tell.

Around the world independent, ethical & sustainable brands are having a positive impact on communities, people and the planet. We want to recognise, celebrate and raise the profile of those brands who are working towards the Sustainable Development Goals and creating positive impact in inspiring and world-changing ways.
The first ever Be The Change Awards in 2019 will bring together ethical & sustainable brands across 9 sectors from fashion to business services, who have a powerful impact story to tell.
Entries are open now – DEADLINE EXTENSION to midnight on 4th February 2019

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for businesses, organisations and individuals with a powerful impact story to tell. We want to hear how you’re working towards the Sustainable Development Goals and creating a better world, and we want to feel inspired.

Like any great story, we want to hear where you’ve come from, what obstacles you’ve faced, what motivates you to keep going and what your biggest achievements have been. We’d also love to hear your vision for the world and the big goals you’re working on. We’re looking for the type of impact story that brings goosebumps to your arms!

How to enter:

We are looking for the most inspiring, impact-driven brands across a range of sectors. The awards will be divided into the following categories:

  • Fashion
  • Accessories
  • Beauty
  • Food & Drink
  • Travel
  • Babies & Children
  • Home & Gift
  • Business Services
  • Changemaker of the Year
  • Tech For Change
  • Community Organisations & Campaigns
  • Brands That Give Back
  • People’s Choice Award (open to public vote, all shortlisted entrants will automatically be put forward)

We are looking for brands, organisations and individuals with a powerful impact story to tell. They should have a big vision for the world and a clear plan of action to create the change they wish to see.

We want to hear your story and see you tell it, so we’re asking all entrants to make a short video (max. 3 minutes) which tells their impact story. This could be you talking directly to camera, footage of you at work, a selection of still images with a voiceover or another creative way of telling your story – it’s up to you! We’re not expecting Hollywood film crews – a short video captured on a mobile phone is just fine – it’s the story that matters.

Winning entries will inspire and move us. We want to see ambitious visions alongside practical plans to make them happen. We want to hear about the people you’re helping, the impact you’re making and the change you are hoping to create in the world. Tell us about where you’ve come from and where you’re hoping to go, and most of all, show us how you’re aspiring to Be The Change!
