About This Project

I worked with ethical handbag brand From Belo in their first months of trading to develop a marketing strategy and provide social media coaching so they could run their online presence themselves – which is a budget friendly way of getting expert support and implementing a strategic approach from the start.


Firstly I defined their brand position and target customer. As a luxury brand with a strong social purpose, getting the customer avatar right was essential to make sure the ongoing marketing was targeting the right audience. I helped develop goals for each social media platform to structure their online presence and identified PR opportunities and potential influencer marketing partners.


Instagram is a key platform for the brand, so I produced one month of strategically planned content to get them off to a flying start. I provided Facebook Ads training to help them set up remarketing advertising to make the most of their website traffic, and arranged monthly marketing mentoring calls to review their analytics, adapt their strategy, raise awareness and optimise for sales conversions.


I also identified the opportunity for the brand to apply for the 2018 Independent Handbag Design Awards in the Social Responsibility category. I helped them prepare their application and they were successfully shortlisted, which meant they were able to attend the awards ceremony and trade show in New York.
