Speaking and Events

As a brand awareness expert, telling stories is what I do. I live for those little lightbulb moments where you can see a new idea being born, or the pieces of a puzzle falling into place. I can bring a fresh approach  and creative energy to your event that will inspire your audience. I’ll provide plenty of laughs, tweetable takeaways and practical tips that leave them feeling excited, empowered and ready to make good stuff happen.

Background

I understand the struggles small business owners are facing when it comes to marketing themselves and scaling their impact. I have on the ground experience and can provide the empathy, expertise and practical advice to help people break through those problems.

I’ve been training social impact businesses since 2014 – running a start up accelerator, guest lecturing at the University of Leicester and supporting the Worcester Enterprise business development programme, as well as helping thousands of people online find their purpose, live their values and scale their social impact business.

I make complex marketing theories and techniques simple, relatable and most importantly fun! Your audience will come away from my talk or workshop feeling inspired, empowered and ready to tackle their marketing challenges.

Speaking topics include:

Tell your story, change the world

Successful marketing is all about telling stories. The most successful brands build a lifestyle around their business. This talk shows business owners how to do that by defining their values, telling their story and building meaningful connections with potential customers.

Social media for social impact businesses

Social media can be one of the most confusing areas of running a small business. In this talk I provide practical, easy to understand strategies and advice for how social impact businesses can market themselves and grow online.

Growing your brand on Instagram

Instagram is one of the most powerful marketing platforms for small business, especially in the ethical and sustainable sectors. In just 15 months I grew my account to over 20,000 followers and turned it into one of my most successful sales platforms. In this talk I share how I did it with practical tips and lessons learned.

Selling without self-loathing

Using trust based selling to solve your customers’ problems and make more sales without being pushy.

Popular workshops include:

Inspiring change through the SDGs

A powerful, interactive session where participants work in small groups to go through a rapid ideation cycle based on the challenges presented by the Sustainable Development Goals to come up with new social and environmental impact ideas. (This can also be tailored and applied to specific challenges).

Tell your story, change the world

An interactive workshop where participants map out their transformation story and unlock the power of storytelling to connect with customers and grow their brand.

Marketing that CARES

A step-by-step workshop where participants build their own marketing strategy around my proven Marketing That CARES model – specifically designed for social and environmental impact businesses.
